Peter Madow earned the Outstanding Male Lifter award with 280 via 125 & 155 taking first place in the 94 kg class. He weighed in at only 86kgs and is training hard for the upcoming Senior Nationals.

Outstanding Female Lifter Ericka Dice of Invictus Weightlifting Team exploded with a fine 4 for 6 performance making 85 & 100. Close misses at both 90 snatch & 105 jerk. A 200 kg total is definitely within reach of this fine athlete.

Outstanding Junior Lifter went to Mark Louros of the Metropolitan Barbell Club making his coach Chris Smith proud. Mark made a strong second snatch of 98 before a close miss with 100 and was perfect in the clean & jerk making a nice PR with 120 on his third.

Outstanding Masters lifter & winner of the +105 was Team Connecticut founder & coach Gary Valentine cruising to a 253 total in preparation for the upcoming Pan Am Masters. Gary just edged by Nick Curry's (me) 6 for 6 day doing 112/140 for a satisfying 252 total. In third was LBH's Lenny Bacino.

Sean Ely made this 132 kg to clinch 1st place in the 77 kg class.

Ed Herger dominated the 105's easily doing a 295 total with lifts of 130 & 165. Ed's teammate Rob Kippel missed out on his National's qualifying bid after making his opening snatch with 120, Rob was unable to secure a jerk.

Susan McClosky, every ones favorite lifting Mom went 6 for 6 working towards the World Masters later this year. Teammate Nicole Spayed continues to improve doing 38 & 50. Team Connecticut's Erica Brennan looked sharp in making two nice snatches doing 62 before missing her third.

Team New Jersey was on hand to cheer Nick Curry on. They are left to right: Joe Nissim, Mike Tiritto, Nick Curry, Chris Oakley, Ronnie Nomeir, Dave Boffa, Lou Mangiacinia (kneeling). -- Tony Soprano couldn't make it.
